100% Tempranillo (known locally as Tinto Fino). This vintage was made exclusively from pre-Phylloxera vines and was aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, 40% of which were new. Intense red and black fruit, thyme, lavender and rosemary aromas with a background of mineral chalk, characteristic of the chalky, rocky soils in the Atauta valley. Full-bodied and unctuous in the mouth, with an elegant freshness. Pairs well with red meat, roast lamb, rice dishes like rabbit paella, hearty stews and ripe cheeses.
