100% palomino fino. Solera of about 20 years. Bottled from one specific wine barrel, as always at Bodegas Lorente y Barba.
Pleasant, assertive nose with nuances of waxed wood, cinnamon, walnut, vanilla, orange zest, caramelized sugar. Full and dry on the palate, with a surprising hint of raisin (a tiny bit of PX was added, an old and perfectly legal tradition in older wines). Rich impressions of nuts, oxidative flavours, a remarkable suppleness and an endless aftertaste.
Goes well with gelatinous dishes, with game, as a digestive.
