50% Albillo and 50% Tempranillo (known locally as Tinto Fino). The vines were planted in 1905, pre-Phylloxera. This 'grand cru' vineyard is located at an altitude of 1,000 metres with a soil comprising 30 to 50 cm of sandy topsoil with a layer of limestone beneath. The plot is processed entirely organically by David Hernando.

There was a late frost in 2017 which caused a 30% loss to the harvest. At the end of June, the region suffered a heatwave which caused the grapes to develop thick skins. In August, the days were hot and the nights were cold, with enough rain at the end of the month to keep the vines fresh. Harvested on 16 September 2017. The bunches were pressed whole: this is actually a claret. Fermentation in 600 litre, French oak barrels. After that the wine was aged further in barrels on the lees until it was bottled on 8 August 2018.

Parsley, flower and fine wood aromas. Mineral. Soft attack, creamy, juicy with a remarkable structure. One of the rare rosé's that can be aged in the bottle.
