Collection: Bodegas de Producción

Bodegas de Producción are wine houses that grow grapes and make must, the white base wine that is turned into sherry. They then sell the must to bodegas which turn the wine into sherry, known as almacenistas, or to Bodegas de Crianza y Exportación, the houses that make sherry and are authorised to sell it on the export market. 

A Bodega de Producción is also allowed to sell its own wines and sherries directly. Although they fall under the protection of the Consejo Regulador of Jerez, they are not marketed as D.O. wine.
