Collection: Cava

Our market is flooded with cheap mass production. It might seem that there is only mediocre Spanish sparkling wine, but on the contrary: high-quality cava is also made. Produced according to the méthode traditionelle, with a second fermentation in the bottle (like champagne). Cava has its own character, depending on grape and region. For example, there are the classic cavas from Penedès, made from macabeo, parellada and xarel.lo. Other grapes are: garnacha, pinot noir, chardonnay,... the Catalan Penedès is by far the most important region for cava production, with the town of Sant Sadurní d'Anoia as the center.
