Collection: Joan Segura Pujadas

A small family bodega from Torrelavit, where Juan Segura was born and bred. Juan Segura makes his own Cavas and still wines, overseeing every stage from the vineyard to the glass. The varieties he plants are Xarel-Io, Parellada, Chardonnay, Macaboe, Merlot and Pinot Noir.

In sum: a small bodega, but with state-of-the-art technical equipment and an expert and single-minded winemaker. You can savour it in the glass: Joan Segura makes wines with character, charm and personality.

D.O. Penedès. (Catalonia). One of Spain's larger winemaking regions. The winegrowers are driven by the yields of the different Cava varieties and the excellent yields (while maintaining quality!) of the many French varieties planted here.

We chose a bodega located in the Massif Garaf Natural Park near the sea, characterised by a predominantly limestone subsoil.

D.P. Penedès : Penedès has long been associated with progressive vineyards and wineries. In the 1970s it was the first region in Spain to employ stainless steel equipment and cold fermentation. From then on, producers from Penedès have made splendid modern wines by blending native and French grapes.
The producers are assisted by the variation in altitude, landscapes and microclimates, which enable many different grape varieties to thrive here. Recently, extensive research has been carried out into the reintroduction of old, native varieties, the development of integrated and organic winemaking techniques, as well as experiments with new grape varieties and different planting densities. A wine museum has been established in the region's major town, Vilafranca del Penedès.
