A manzanilla is a fortified wine from Sanlúcar de Barrameda in the Sherry Triangle. The typical floral effect in this coastal city creates a light, fresh sherry with aromas of apple, chamomile (manzanilla is the Spanish word for chamomile), hay and nuts. It's a delicate, saltier sherry that pairs well with local seafood dishes or sushi.
