100% Menciavan from 100-year-old vines. The grapes are grown at an altitude of more than 600 metres, on a very poor broken slate soil. 15-day maceration by the bazuqueo technique (pigeage in French). The malolactic fermentation takes place in 225 and 300 litre, French oak barrels, after which the wine is aged for another 12 months. Complex berry and ripe red fruit, herb and toast aromas with a background of balsam. Full-bodied in the mouth, adequate freshness and complexity. Silky soft tannins that are perfectly integrated. Long, juicy finish. Goes well with salted cheeses, game, lamb and red meat.
