95% Tempranillo, 5% Graciano. 14-month ageing in French (80%) and American (20%) oak. Malolactic fermentation takes place in new, toasted French oak barrels. Intense cherry-red colour. Equally intense nose of ripe red fruit, herbs and toast. Very complex and interwoven. Soft, resolved tannins, structured, perfectly balanced with a long and juicy finish. The clear mineral touch is a nice expression of the unique terroir where the grapes are planted. 63- to 97-year-old wines from four different plots. Good with game birds (pheasant, for example), but also lamb chops and roast beef.
