100% Tempranillo (known locally as Tinto Fino) from the best soils near Pesquera de Duero. Blend of the 2012 and 2014 vintages, when only the best grapes were selected. This wine lay in French and Central European oak barrels for 26 months. Not filtered before bottling. Lots of expression in the nose and very complex aromas of ripe blueberry, cherry, liquorice root, with a somewhat earthy undertone, as well as thyme, coffee and chocolate. The attack in the mouth is very intense, balanced and structured with adequate acids and resolved tannins. The finish is long and juicy. Match it with herby Mediterranean dishes like pickled peppers and olives, grilled lamb and steak. Also a top choice in game season. Tip! We recommend decanting this wine before serving.
