95% Tempranillo, 3% Graciano and 2% Mazuelo. The grapes are harvested from the estate's oldest vines on plots located at the foot of the Sierra Cantabria. Handpicked followed by a second selection from the conveyor belt. 20-day maceration followed by malolactic fermentation in 18,000 litre, French oak barrels. Followed by 25 months' ageing in 225 litre, French and American oak barrels. Intense, elegant aromas with hints of candied plums, liquorice, cedarwood, spices, tobacco, leather and cocoa. Remarkably soft, juicy, fresh and lively in the mouth, with silky soft tannins and an agreeable warm finish. Pairs with meat and game dishes in sauce. We recommend that you decant this wine before serving.
