100% Petit Verdot. 12 to 15 months in French oak barrels (new and one-year-old). Petit Verdot has not yet been officially recognised as a grape of D.O. Dehesa del Carrizal, which is why this wine is catalogued as IGP Tierra de Castilla. The aromas of an unusual grape produce unusual results: berries, other red fruit and liquorice with a balsamic undertone. Nice graphite hints (typical of this grape). Soft, fresh attack under the influence of ripe tannins which is remarkable considering its young age. Evolves to a long, full finish. Nice with spicy meat dishes, pasta with a tomato sauce base, steak with roast vegetables and absolutely with smoked ham too.
