100% cariñena (known locally as samsò). 18 months in French oak barrels of 2000 liters. The grapes are selected from the best plots with different soils: Coll Roig (limestone), Les Argiles (red clay) and Riguera (slate). The sticks are up to 90 years old. The wine is vinified according to traditional methods and then undergoes malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. Before bottling, Mas-Roig is not clarified and only very lightly filtered.
Complex nose of ripe red fruit, jam, leather, chocolate and toast. Powerful yet supple, mineral with a long, tasty finish.
