Viñas del Cenit is located at the heart of the historic Tierra del Vino de Zamora, a region with some of the oldest and most unique vineyards in Spain. Thanks to the region's extreme climate, among other things, it is easier for this bodega to make exclusive use of environmentally friendly, organic products in the vineyards. They swear by a philosophy of sustainable winegrowing.
The climate here is dry and continental with long, cold winters and shorter, hot summers. The soil consists mainly of sand, old pebbles and clay. The vines vary in age from 20 to 30 years to 120-year-old, pre-Phylloxera vines.
Zamora has been making wine since the eleventh century. Winemaking has always been an important sector here. Over the course of the centuries, Tempranillo has adapted to the harsh circumstances and has developed into a unique clone with an outspoken personality.
