80% Garnacha, 20% Syrah. The Garnacha is from 35- to 60-year-old vines; the Syrah ones are 15 years old. The vineyard is planted at an altitude of 700 metres, in a rocky subsoil of clay and limestone. 14 months' ageing in French and American oak barrels. Dark, cherry red colour, concentrated. Complex black fruit and toast aromas with an undertone of balsam. Soft and elegant in the mouth with nicely interwoven tannins. Long, juicy finish. Berola pairs with many things.
