100% 100-year-old Mencia vines. Malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. Followed by 12 months' further ageing in the same barrels. Bottled without filtration.
Complex ripe fruit and flower aromas. Hints of liquorice, balsam, pepper and clove. This wine has an elegant minerality determined by its terroir. Lovely attack, full-bodied and soft without compromising in freshness. Ripe, rounded tannins, with an agreeable balance between fruit, wood, acidity and minerality.
Delicious with pasta dishes in red sauce, grilled meat, stews and game.
