100% Mencia planted on the El Llano plot. 100-year-old vines on a poor, rocky and clay soil. Bazuqueo technique maceration (the 'cap' is punched down repeatedly, without pumping). After an alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks and a malolactic fermentation in 300 litre, French oak barrels, the wine is aged for a further 12 months in the same barrels. Intense, complex red and black fruit aromas with a floral touch and a remarkable minerality with a balsamic undertone. Soft attack, nice balance between fruit and minerality. Pairs with poultry, game, ripe cheese.
