Malolactic fermentation in oak barrels, followed by a further 12 months' ageing in 225 and 300 litre, French oak barrels. 1,050 bottles made without filtration. Intense red and black fruit nose. Balsamic, herby and lightly toasted with a mineral background. Medium-bodied. Ripe, rounded tannins, voluminous in the mouth with a silky soft finish. Balanced acids. Harmonious wine. Pairs with poultry, game, ripe cheeses.
