100% Cariñena (known locally as Samsó). Vines up to 85 years old (1934 to 2000) planted on the slopes of the Sant Martí plot, in the south of Priorat. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in 500 litre, French oak barrels followed by spontaneous malolactic fermentation. After this the wine is aged for a further 12 months in the same barrels. Processed organically. Nice, pure expression of the mineral, vegetal character of South Priorat wines. Blackcurrant, Mediterranean herb and graphite aromas with a background of balsam.
